Asking for delivery details one message at a time is where many chat sales die. "Apnar naam?", "phone number?", "full address diben?", "Dhakar bhitore na baire?": four round trips, each a chance for a typo or a customer who stops replying. Then someone has to add the delivery charge and type the total by hand.
SaleMag replaces that back-and-forth with one short form the customer fills in themselves.
What is the SaleMag WhatsApp order form?
It is the checkout step of AI order taking. As soon as the customer has chosen their items, the AI chatbot sends an order form. On official WhatsApp numbers it is a native WhatsApp Flows form that opens inside the chat. Everywhere else it is a secure link to a mobile-friendly page.
What does the customer see on the form?
| Part of the form | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Cart | The items, options and quantities they chose |
| Delivery area | A list of your areas, each showing "Delivery ৳X · Total ৳Y" |
| Full name | Required, at least 2 characters |
| Phone | Required, checked as a valid mobile number |
| Address | Required, up to 500 characters |
| Note | Optional, for the seller |
| Payment | A clear cash-on-delivery notice |
| Button | Place order |
The fields are pre-filled from the customer's WhatsApp number and, for returning customers, from their previous chat order: name, phone, address and area. A repeat buyer often just checks and taps.
How does the form stay accurate?
Every form carries a signed token that is tied to the exact cart, prices and delivery fees at the moment it was sent. If anything changes before the customer submits, for example the customer adds an item in chat or you change a price, SaleMag rejects the old form and sends a fresh one with a short "your order changed" note. The total is always calculated by the server, never typed by a person or guessed by the AI.
If the phone number is invalid, the form has expired or a required field is missing, the customer gets the form again with a notice explaining what to fix.
How do I set it up?
- Connect your number through the official WhatsApp Business API.
- Add your delivery areas and fees in the chatbot's order settings, with Bangla labels if you sell in Bangla.
- Choose Order form as the checkout style.
- Click Set up form next to the WhatsApp number. SaleMag creates, uploads and publishes the Flow on that number's WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's Graph API. You do not need to build anything in Meta's tools.
What about Messenger, Instagram and other channels?
WhatsApp Flows exist only on the official WhatsApp Business API. Customers on Messenger, Instagram, Telegram or a QR-linked WhatsApp number get a link to the same form on the web:
- The link is signed with HMAC-SHA256 and tied to one cart.
- It expires after 24 hours and stops working once the order is placed.
- The page shows the cart, subtotal, delivery fee and total, an area picker, name, phone and full address (house, road, area, city), an optional note and the COD notice.
- It follows the chat language, Bangla or English.
- The page is not indexed by search engines, and submissions are rate limited.
What happens after the customer taps Place order?
The order is created as a numbered cash-on-delivery order, such as CH-000123, and appears in your orders list as pending. The customer gets a confirmation in the chat, and your team gets a "New chat order" notification if you turned it on. One cart can only ever become one order, so a double tap never creates a duplicate.
Who is it for?
Shops that take cash-on-delivery orders on WhatsApp and want correct names, phone numbers and addresses without typing them. It pairs well with COD order confirmation workflows. See pricing to get started.
Frequently asked questions
What is a WhatsApp order form?
It is a short form that opens inside WhatsApp, built on Meta's WhatsApp Flows. The customer fills it in without leaving the chat, and the answers come straight back to SaleMag as an order.
Do I have to build the form in Meta's Flow Builder?
No. Click Set up form on your WhatsApp number in the chatbot's order settings, and SaleMag creates, uploads and publishes the Flow on that number's WhatsApp Business Account.
Does it work on a QR-linked WhatsApp number?
The native in-WhatsApp form needs a number connected through the official WhatsApp Business API. QR-linked numbers, Messenger, Instagram and other channels get a secure order-form link instead.
Is the order form in Bangla?
Yes. The form, the link page and the confirmations exist in Bangla and English, following the chat's language or your setting.
How secure is the order-form link?
Each link is signed with HMAC-SHA256, tied to one cart, expires after 24 hours and stops working once the order is placed. The page is hidden from search engines and submissions are rate limited.
Can the customer pay online on the form?
No. The form places a cash-on-delivery order and says so on the form.
