AI Chatbot for WhatsApp & Messenger in Bangla

An AI chatbot that answers WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram customers from your own products and documents, in their language, and hands hard chats to people.

AI Chatbot for WhatsApp & Messenger in Bangla

A Facebook page or WhatsApp number in Bangladesh gets the same ten questions all day: "price koto?", "delivery charge?", "Dhakar baire jabe?", "size available?". Answering them by hand means someone is glued to the phone at midnight, and slow replies lose sales to the page that answered first.

SaleMag's AI chatbot answers those questions for you, from your own information, on the channels your customers already use.

What does the SaleMag AI chatbot do?

It reads each incoming message, searches your knowledge base for the relevant facts, and writes a short reply in the customer's language. It works on:

Each bot remembers the recent conversation (the last ten messages), so a follow-up like "ar blue ta?" is understood in context. It can also see the customer's last three orders with their status and tracking link, which helps with "where is my order?" questions.

Where does the bot get its answers?

From a knowledge base you build. This is retrieval-augmented generation: the bot looks up your content first, then answers only from what it found.

Source What you add
Files PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, TXT, Markdown or JSON, up to 20 MB each
Web page One URL, fetched and indexed
Sitemap Up to 200 pages from your website's sitemap
FAQ Question and answer pairs you write
Text Any policy or note you paste in
Products Your whole catalog, manual products or one connected store; re-indexed when products change

The bot is instructed never to invent prices, policies or links. If nothing relevant is found, it sends your fallback message or passes the chat to a person.

How does the AI chatbot answer in Bangla?

Every bot is instructed to reply in the language the customer writes in. A message in Bangla gets a Bangla reply; a message in English gets English. For the best answers, write your FAQs and policies in the language your customers use. When the same bot takes orders, it also understands common Banglish confirmations like "thik ache" or "order koren"; see AI order taking.

Which AI models does it use?

You bring your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude) or Google Gemini. SaleMag checks the key when you add it and shows the models that key can use, with a recommended default for each provider. Your provider bills you directly; SaleMag logs tokens per run so you can see usage.

Smart (semantic) search over your documents needs an OpenAI or Gemini key, because Anthropic does not offer embeddings. Without one, the bot still works with keyword search.

What happens when the bot does not know the answer?

That is where human handover comes in. The bot passes the chat to your team when:

  • it is unsure and "hand over when unsure" is on
  • the customer asks for a person ("talk to human", "real person", "live agent" and similar)
  • the request is outside what the bot can do

The conversation is marked for a human in the shared inbox, and your team gets a push notification. While a person owns the chat, the bot stays silent. An agent can hand it back to the bot with one click.

What can I control per bot?

Setting What it does
Knowledge base Which content the bot answers from
Tone Professional, friendly, formal, casual or concise
Instructions Your own system prompt, up to 8,192 characters
Context chunks How many knowledge snippets it reads per reply (1 to 20)
Fallback reply What it says when it has no answer
Hand over when unsure Pass uncertain chats to your team
Channels Which WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram or WeChat accounts it answers

Keyword auto-replies, a welcome message and an out-of-hours reply run before the AI, so fixed answers stay fixed.

How do I test it before customers see it?

Every bot has a test playground. Type a customer question and see the reply, plus the model, tokens used, the knowledge sources it quoted, and whether it would hand over. Nothing is sent to a real customer, and test orders are not saved.

Who is the AI chatbot for?

  • F-commerce sellers on Facebook and Instagram who get the same questions all day, see F-commerce
  • Shops that want answers at night and on Fridays without hiring a night shift
  • Service businesses with a long FAQ: clinics, training centres, travel agents

Add your FAQs, price list, delivery policy, product catalog, files or website sitemap, then wait for indexing to finish.

  3. 3

    Create the bot

Name the bot, attach the knowledge base, pick a tone and write any extra instructions.

  4. 4

    Test, then pick channels

Try real customer questions in the test playground, then attach the bot to your WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram accounts.

Frequently asked questions

Which channels can the AI chatbot answer on?

WhatsApp (official API or a QR-linked number), Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, Telegram and WeChat. Each connected account can have one bot, and one bot can cover many accounts.

Do I need my own OpenAI or Gemini account?

Yes. SaleMag uses your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude) or Google Gemini, so the provider bills you directly for usage. Smart document search needs an OpenAI or Gemini key; without one the bot falls back to keyword search.

Can the chatbot reply in Bangla?

Yes. The bot is instructed to reply in the language the customer writes in, so a question in Bangla gets an answer in Bangla. Write your FAQs in Bangla too for the most natural answers.

Will the bot make up prices or policies?

It is told never to invent prices, policies or links and to answer only from your knowledge base. If it cannot find the answer, it sends your fallback message or hands the chat to a person.

What can I upload to the knowledge base?

PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, TXT, Markdown and JSON files up to 20 MB, single web page URLs, whole sitemaps (up to 200 pages), question-and-answer FAQs, plain text and your product catalog.

Can my team take over a conversation?

Yes. An agent can switch any conversation from the bot to a human in the shared inbox, and switch it back later. While a person owns the chat, the bot does not reply.

Can the bot understand photos or voice notes?

No. The chatbot reads text messages. Customer photos and voice notes go to your team in the inbox.
