For many sellers in Bangladesh, the Facebook Page is the shop. Ads and posts bring people in, and almost every sale starts with a Messenger message: "price?", "size ache?", "delivery charge koto?". During an Eid or 11.11 rush, those messages pile up faster than any team can answer. SaleMag puts your Page's Messenger chats into a shared inbox and adds an AI chatbot that handles the repeat questions.
What does SaleMag do with Messenger?
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Inbox | Every Messenger chat appears next to your WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram chats |
| Team tools | Assign a chat, add labels and internal notes, use saved replies |
| AI chatbot | Answers from your knowledge base and product list |
| Order taking | Builds the cart and sends a secure order-form link |
| Handover | Passes the chat to a person and notifies your team |
Photos and other attachments the customer sends come into the thread, so your team sees the whole conversation in one place.
How do I connect a Facebook Page?
You log in with Facebook from Channel Setup and pick the Pages you manage. SaleMag stores the Page connection and subscribes it to Meta's webhooks, so new messages arrive in the inbox as they come in. You can connect more than one Page, which helps if you run separate Pages for clothing and cosmetics, for example.
How does the AI chatbot answer customers?
The AI chatbot answers from a knowledge base that you build. A knowledge base can hold:
- your product catalog, synced from Shopify, WooCommerce or BigCommerce, or added by hand
- text you type, such as delivery charges and return policy
- files (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV and others)
- web pages or a sitemap from your website
- question-and-answer pairs
The bot is instructed to state facts only from that material and the customer's own orders. It never invents a price, a policy or a phone number. It replies in the language the customer uses, so a customer who writes "eta koto taka?" gets an answer in Banglish, and one who writes in Bangla script gets Bangla.
It can also look at the customer's last few orders, so "amar order ta kothay?" gets a real status instead of a guess.
Can the Messenger bot take orders?
Yes. With AI order taking on, the bot looks up every product in your catalog before it quotes a price, builds the cart with sizes and colours, and then sends a secure order-form link. On the form the customer chooses a delivery area, such as Inside Dhaka or Outside Dhaka, enters name, phone and address, and places the order. Payment is cash on delivery.
Your team gets a numbered order, such as CH-000123, and a notification. The in-WhatsApp form is a WhatsApp feature; on Messenger the customer always gets the link.
When does a person take over?
With handover switched on, the bot stops and hands over when:
- it does not have the answer in its knowledge
- the customer asks for a human, agent or real person
- the request is a complaint, a bulk or wholesale order, a custom request, or a change to an order already placed
On handover, the chat is marked for a human and every team member is notified. While a person is handling the chat, the bot stays out of it. If your team replies in a chat where an order-taking bot is active, the bot stays quiet there for 15 minutes so two voices never answer at once.
What Meta rules apply to Messenger?
Meta's Messenger Platform lets a Page reply freely within 24 hours of the customer's last message. Outside that window, Meta limits what a Page can send. Plan your follow-ups for the same day the customer writes, and keep your Page in good standing with Meta's policies.
How is this different from Meta's own automated replies?
Meta Business Suite offers fixed instant replies and FAQ buttons. They answer the same text every time. SaleMag's chatbot reads the question, checks your products and policies, and answers that specific question, then hands off when it should. Your team also gets one shared inbox for every channel instead of switching between apps.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect my Facebook Page?
Open Channel Setup, choose Messenger, log in with Facebook and pick the Pages you want. SaleMag subscribes each Page to Meta's webhooks so new messages arrive in the inbox.
Can the Messenger bot reply in Bangla?
Yes. It replies in the language the customer writes in, including Bangla and Banglish.
Can it take orders on Messenger?
Yes, when order taking is on. The bot builds the cart and sends a secure order-form link where the customer picks the delivery area and enters name, phone and address.
Does the bot reply to comments on my Facebook posts?
No. SaleMag answers Messenger messages, not post comments.
What happens when the bot does not know the answer?
It does not guess. With handover on, it passes the chat to your team and notifies everyone in the workspace. With handover off, it says it does not have that information and suggests contacting your team.
Can several people answer the same Page?
Yes. Everyone on your team works from the same inbox, with assignment, labels, internal notes and saved replies.
