Asking for delivery details one message at a time is where many chat sales die. "Apnar naam?", "phone number?", "full address diben?", "Dhakar bhitore na baire?": four round trips, each a chance for a typo or a customer who stops replying. Then someone has to add the delivery charge and type the total by hand.
SaleMag replaces that back-and-forth with one short form the customer fills in themselves.
What is the SaleMag WhatsApp order form?
SaleMag's WhatsApp order form is the checkout step of AI order taking: a short form the AI agent sends once the customer has chosen their items. On official WhatsApp numbers it is a native WhatsApp Flows form that opens inside the chat. On other channels it is a secure link to a mobile-friendly page.
What does the customer see on the order form?
The SaleMag order form shows the cart, delivery areas with fees, contact and address fields, and a COD notice:
| Part of the form | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Cart | The items, options and quantities they chose |
| Delivery area | A list of your areas, such as Inside Dhaka and Outside Dhaka, each showing "Delivery ৳X · Total ৳Y" |
| Full name | Required, at least 2 characters |
| Phone | Required, checked as a valid mobile number |
| Address | Required, up to 500 characters |
| Note | Optional, for the seller |
| Payment | A clear cash-on-delivery notice |
| Button | Place order |
The fields are pre-filled from the customer's WhatsApp number and, for returning customers, from their previous chat order: name, phone, address and area. A repeat buyer often just checks and taps.
Order form vs asking for details in chat: what changes?
An order form collects all delivery details in one step, while asking in chat takes several messages. The table compares the two:
| Asking in chat | SaleMag order form | |
|---|---|---|
| Round trips | Four or more messages | One form |
| Delivery fee and total | Typed by a person | Calculated by the server |
| Repeat buyers | Asked again | Pre-filled from the last chat order |
| Typos in phone number | Found later | Checked before submit |
How does SaleMag keep order totals accurate?
SaleMag ties every form to the exact cart, prices and delivery fees at the moment it was sent, and calculates the total on the server. If anything changes before the customer submits, for example the customer adds an item in chat or you change a price, SaleMag rejects the old form and sends a fresh one with a short "your order changed" note. The total is never typed by a person or guessed by the AI.
If the phone number is invalid, the form has expired or a required field is missing, the customer gets the form again with a notice explaining what to fix.
How do I set up the WhatsApp order form?
- Connect your number through the official WhatsApp Business API.
- Add your delivery areas and fees in the AI agent's order settings, with Bangla labels if you sell in Bangla.
- Choose Order form as the checkout style.
- Click Set up form next to the WhatsApp number. SaleMag creates, uploads and publishes the Flow on that number's WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's Graph API. You do not need to build anything in Meta's tools.
Does the order form work on Messenger, Instagram and other channels?
Yes, as a secure web link. WhatsApp Flows exist only on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API, so customers on Messenger, Instagram, Telegram or a QR-linked WhatsApp number get a link to the same form on the web:
- The link is signed with HMAC-SHA256 and tied to one cart.
- It expires after 24 hours and stops working once the order is placed.
- The page shows the cart, subtotal, delivery fee and total, an area picker, name, phone and full address (house, road, area, city), an optional note and the COD notice.
- It follows the chat language, Bangla or English.
- The page is not indexed by search engines, and submissions are rate limited.
What happens after the customer taps Place order?
SaleMag creates a numbered cash-on-delivery order, such as CH-000123, which appears in your orders list as pending. The customer gets a confirmation in the chat, and your team gets a "New chat order" notification if you turned it on. One cart can only become one order, so a double tap never creates a duplicate. Then your team confirms, marks paid, fulfils, completes or cancels the order.
Who is the WhatsApp order form for?
Shops that take COD orders on WhatsApp and want correct names, phone numbers and addresses without typing them, see F-commerce. It pairs well with COD order confirmation workflows. See pricing or create an account to get started.
