SaleMag vs Interakt (2026): features, pricing and which to pick

Interakt is a WhatsApp marketing and commerce platform from Jio Haptik Technologies, the Reliance-backed company in India. SaleMag is a chat-commerce platform built in Dhaka for sellers in Bangladesh. Both use Meta's official WhatsApp API, so the choice comes down to channels, AI, payments and how you sell.

What is the main difference between SaleMag and Interakt?

Interakt is built around WhatsApp and Shopify commerce for the Indian market, with Instagram, RCS and voice as add-ons to the suite. SaleMag is built around the way Bangladeshi shops sell: chats that start on Facebook, AI replies in Bangla and Banglish, and cash-on-delivery orders.

Does Interakt support Facebook Messenger?

Interakt's pricing and feature pages list WhatsApp and Instagram, and RCS on the Enterprise plan. None of the pages we checked mentioned Facebook Messenger.

That matters in Bangladesh, where many orders start as a message to a Facebook Page. SaleMag's Messenger chatbot puts Page messages in the same shared inbox as WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Telegram and WeChat, so one team and one AI agent answer all of them.

How do the AI agents compare?

Interakt sells WhatsApp AI Agents for support, booking, lead qualification, sales, product recommendations and order management. They are "powered by Haptik's enterprise-grade AI tech", and the model is not named. On 24 October 2026 they were an add-on at $74.99 a month for Growth and Advanced plans.

SaleMag's AI chatbot is part of the product. It runs on your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key, so you pay the AI provider at cost. It learns from your products, FAQs, files and web pages, replies in the customer's own language, including Bangla script and Banglish, and hands the chat to a person when it is unsure.

Interakt's site does not mention Bangla. Its chatbot FAQ says chatbots support multiple languages using AI. Test any AI agent on your real customer messages, such as "Outside Dhaka delivery koto din?", before you commit.

Which is better for cash-on-delivery orders?

Both handle COD. Interakt's strength is Shopify: a checkout bot on the WhatsApp catalog, a flow that nudges COD buyers to prepay, and WhatsApp double confirmation of Shopify COD orders to reduce returns.

SaleMag's AI order taking works without a website. The AI reads your catalog for price, stock and options, builds the cart in the chat, and sends a WhatsApp order form where the customer picks Inside or Outside Dhaka and sees the fee and total. The server calculates the total, so the AI cannot quote a wrong price. Messenger, Instagram and Telegram customers get the same form as a secure link.

SaleMag does not take online payments in chat: it has no bKash, Nagad or card step. Interakt supports WhatsApp Pay, Razorpay, PayU, Stripe and others, but lists no Bangladeshi gateway.

Where is Interakt the better choice?

Interakt is the better choice if you need any of these:

• Deep Shopify commerce, with catalog sync, COD-to-prepaid flows and a Shopify app with 234 reviews.
• WhatsApp Pay and Indian payment gateways.
• Click-to-WhatsApp ads, with conversion data sent back to Meta. SaleMag does not handle these.
• CRM integrations with Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, Freshworks and LeadSquared, plus Zapier and Make.
• Unlimited agents on paid WhatsApp plans.
• RCS and voice in the same suite.

Where is SaleMag the better choice?

SaleMag is the better choice if you need any of these:

• Facebook Messenger, Telegram and WeChat in the same inbox as WhatsApp and Instagram.
• Bangla and Banglish AI replies on your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key, with no AI add-on fee.
• COD orders without a website, with delivery-area fees.
• Bulk SMS through SMSBD, REVE SMS, BulkSMS BD, sms.net.bd or MimSMS.
• Email campaigns and a social planner on the same contact list.
• A Bangladeshi team, working in your time zone.

How does pricing compare?

On 24 October 2026, Interakt's US pricing page showed:

Quarterly and yearly billing are cheaper. Interakt's FAQ says plans are billed in INR, and its terms add a 2% convenience fee on subscriptions and prepaid credits. Subscription fees and prepaid credits are non-refundable.

Interakt's own rate table lists Bangladesh marketing messages at $0.080 to $0.082 depending on plan. Meta made Bangladesh its own pricing market from 1 October 2026, so check that table against Meta's rate card.

How do I switch from Interakt to SaleMag?

1. Export your contacts from Interakt.
2. Create a SaleMag account and connect your WhatsApp number through Meta's signup screens.
3. Import the contacts with their WhatsApp opt-in, then connect your Facebook Page and Instagram account.
4. Add your products and FAQs to the AI chatbot's knowledge base.
5. Re-create your templates and test the AI on real Bangla and Banglish messages before you switch it on.
