SaleMag vs BotSailor (2026): features, pricing and which to pick

SaleMag and BotSailor solve the same problem: one inbox and a chatbot for the chats that come in on WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and Telegram. Both are built by teams in Bangladesh and both use Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API. They differ in what they add on top.

What is the main difference between SaleMag and BotSailor?

BotSailor is a broad chatbot and marketing toolkit with a strong agency and reseller side. SaleMag is focused on selling in chat in Bangladesh: an AI agent that replies in Bangla and Banglish, takes cash-on-delivery orders, and reaches customers by WhatsApp, SMS and email from one contact list.

How do the AI chatbots compare?

Both platforms let you connect your own AI key. The difference is which models and what the AI is trained to do.

SaleMag's AI chatbot runs on your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key, learns from your products, FAQs, files and web pages, and replies in the customer's own language. A customer who writes "XL ache? dam koto?" gets an answer in Banglish, not English. When the AI is unsure it hands the chat to a person.

BotSailor's help docs say it supports OpenAI and DeepSeek with your own API key, and its plans include a monthly allowance of BotSailor AI tokens. Its site does not say whether its AI replies in Bangla.

Which is better for cash-on-delivery orders?

Both handle COD, in different ways.

BotSailor uses the WhatsApp catalog: customers add products to a cart, check out with COD, and get an order confirmation flow. It also has guides for verifying Shopify and WooCommerce COD orders on WhatsApp.

SaleMag uses AI order taking. The AI reads your catalog for price, stock and options, builds the cart in the chat, and sends a WhatsApp order form where the customer picks Inside or Outside Dhaka and sees the delivery fee and total. SaleMag's server adds the fee and total, so the AI never invents a price. Messenger, Instagram and Telegram customers get the same form as a secure link.

SaleMag does not book couriers: it has no Pathao, Steadfast or RedX connection, and no bKash or Nagad payment step. BotSailor lists about 30 payment gateways, including SSLCommerz.

Where is BotSailor the better choice?

BotSailor is the better choice if you need any of these:

• Comment auto-reply on Facebook and Instagram posts. SaleMag does not reply to comments.
• Click-to-WhatsApp ads tracking.
• A WhatsApp appointment system. SaleMag has no booking calendar.
• A free-forever plan for a very small list (200 subscribers).
• White-label or reselling to your own clients. SaleMag is not white-label.
• Online payments in chat through gateways such as SSLCommerz.

Where is SaleMag the better choice?

SaleMag is the better choice if you need any of these:

• Bangla and Banglish AI replies on your choice of OpenAI, Claude or Gemini.
• COD orders with delivery-area fees calculated by the server.
• Bulk SMS through SMSBD, REVE SMS, BulkSMS BD, sms.net.bd or MimSMS, for customers who are not on WhatsApp.
• Email campaigns to the same contact list.
• A shared inbox with assignment, internal notes, saved replies and six team roles.
• A social planner that also posts to LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube.

How does pricing compare?

BotSailor publishes its prices in US dollars. On 24 October 2026 its pricing page showed:

BotSailor's refund policy says it does not give standard refunds on subscriptions and that plans renew automatically.

How do I switch from BotSailor to SaleMag?

1. Export your contacts from BotSailor as CSV.
2. Create a SaleMag account and connect your WhatsApp number through Meta's signup screens.
3. Import the CSV, keeping each contact's WhatsApp opt-in.
4. Add your products and FAQs to the AI chatbot's knowledge base.
5. Re-create your message templates, and test them with real Bangla and Banglish messages before you switch the AI on.
