For an F-commerce shop, the Facebook page is the shop window. An empty week on the page means fewer messages in the inbox. But posting every day to Facebook and Instagram, and maybe TikTok or LinkedIn, is a job on its own. Each network wants a different length and format, and the posting often happens at midnight after the orders are packed.
With a post scheduler, you plan the week in one sitting. The posts go out on time while you answer customers.
What is a social media post scheduler?
A social media post scheduler is a tool that lets a business write posts once, pick the networks and times, and publish them automatically from one calendar. SaleMag's post scheduler does this for six networks, and keeps your posts in the same dashboard as your unified inbox and WhatsApp broadcasts.
Which networks and post types can I schedule?
The SaleMag post scheduler publishes to six networks. Each network accepts different posts:
| Network | What you can publish |
|---|---|
| Facebook Page | Text, one image, or several images in one post |
| One image with a caption | |
| Text posts on your profile or a Company Page you manage | |
| X (Twitter) | Text posts, up to 280 characters |
| TikTok | One video |
| YouTube | One video, uploaded as private; a custom cover image works on verified channels |
Connect accounts with OAuth or by pasting an access token. SaleMag checks access tokens every 15 minutes and refreshes them before they expire. For X, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn it also refreshes the token at publish time.
How does one post fit several networks?
The SaleMag composer lets you write once, pick several accounts, and check the post against each network's rules.
- Character limits: the composer uses the smallest limit among the accounts you selected. For example, it is 280 if X is included, 2,200 for Instagram and TikTok, and 3,000 for LinkedIn.
- Media checks: YouTube and TikTok need a video first. Instagram needs an image. The composer warns you, and checks again before saving or scheduling.
- Live previews: see how the post will look on each of the six networks before it goes out.
- Media: upload your files or paste media links.
Can AI write captions and plan my posts?
Yes. SaleMag has two AI tools for social posts. Both run on your own AI provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini).
- AI generate (caption writer): describe the post and choose a network. The AI writes text in the style and length that suits that network.
- AI planner: give a topic, a goal, a start and end date, your timezone and a tone (professional, casual, humorous, inspirational or educational). The AI drafts 3 to 14 posts, 7 by default. Each draft has a title, the post text, a suggested time and a short reason for that post. Edit them, then create them all at once.
For example: "Eid collection, goal: messages to our WhatsApp, 1 to 7 April, Asia/Dhaka, casual". The AI does not create images, so add your own product photos.
How does scheduling work?
SaleMag saves each post's time with its timezone. A scheduler checks every minute and publishes the posts that are due. So "8 pm Dhaka time" stays 8 pm, even when someone on your team works from another country.
A post moves through draft, scheduled, publishing, published and failed. You can move a scheduled post back to draft, publish it now, edit it or delete it.
What happens if a scheduled post fails?
SaleMag tracks each account on a post separately, so one failed network does not stop the others. A failed attempt is retried up to three times, with a longer wait each time.
For example, if the Facebook post works and the LinkedIn post fails, the post stays live on Facebook. SaleMag saves the LinkedIn error, and a retry only goes to LinkedIn. If a post is stuck in publishing for 30 minutes, SaleMag queues it again.
How do I see the content calendar and results?
The SaleMag content calendar shows one month at a time, with posts grouped by day in your timezone. Filter by status, network or account to find empty days.
The social report shows posts created, published, scheduled and failed, posts by network and by status, and the 20 latest posts. It does not pull likes, reach or comments from the networks.
What does the post scheduler not do?
- It does not post Instagram Reels, Stories or carousels.
- It does not attach images or videos to X or LinkedIn posts. Those are text only.
- It does not reply to comments on your posts. Messenger and Instagram direct messages arrive in the unified inbox, where the AI agent and your team can reply.
- It does not create images.
Who is the SaleMag post scheduler for?
- F-commerce shops and small brands that run their own Facebook page and Instagram, see F-commerce
- Agencies that post for several clients, with one workspace per client
- Teams that want posts, broadcasts and customer chats in one place
