Eid-ul-Fitr shopping is about new clothes and gifts. Eid-ul-Adha shopping is about the kitchen. A household that is buying a cow or a share of one suddenly needs freezer space, sharp knives, a good boti, big pots, spice mixes and polythene bags, all in the same two weeks. If you sell any of those, your past customers want to hear from you, and WhatsApp is where they will read it.
Eid-ul-Adha 2025 is expected around Saturday, 7 June in Bangladesh, subject to the moon sighting. This post gives campaign ideas by product type, template texts you can adapt, and a send calendar that works backwards from your courier's cut-off. For handling the replies that come in, see handling the inbox during an Eid sale.
What do customers buy before Eid-ul-Adha?
Customers buy for four jobs: storing meat, cutting it, cooking it and dressing for Eid. Your campaign should speak to the job, not just the product.
| Job | Products that sell | When demand peaks |
|---|---|---|
| Storing | Deep freezers, refrigerators, freezer bags, airtight boxes | 2 to 3 weeks before Eid |
| Cutting | Knives, chapati (cleaver), boti, chopping boards, sharpeners | 1 to 2 weeks before |
| Cooking | Big pots, pressure cookers, spice mixes, masala combos | 1 to 2 weeks before, and after Eid |
| Dressing | Panjabi, kids' outfits, sarees, attar, gift boxes | 10 days before |
Use the table to decide the order of your campaigns. Big-ticket storage items go first, because customers compare prices for days and delivery of a freezer takes longer than a pouch of masala.
Which campaign ideas work for each type of shop?
Pick one clear idea per send. Customers ignore a message that tries to sell a freezer, a panjabi and a spice pack at once.
Electronics and appliance shops
Lead with the storage problem: "Qurbanir mangsho rakhar jayga ache to?" Show two or three freezer sizes with capacity in litres and the price. Mention delivery time to each area honestly. If you offer installment or exchange, say so plainly.
Kitchenware and home shops
Build bundles around the cutting and cooking jobs: a "Qurbani kit" with a cleaver, a boti, a chopping board and a sharpener. Bundles are easier to choose than single items and raise the order value.
Grocery and spice sellers
Sell recipes, not just packets. "Kala bhuna masala combo for 5 kg mangsho" tells the customer exactly what they get. Send a second message after Eid for people who ran out.
Clothing shops
Panjabi and kids' outfits still sell, but the window is shorter than for Eid-ul-Fitr. Focus on ready stock you can deliver in time, and avoid pre-orders that may land after Eid.
Gift and specialty shops
Gift boxes for in-laws, attar, dates and sweets work well in the last week, especially for Inside Dhaka delivery.
What should an Eid-ul-Adha WhatsApp template say?
A good Eid template names the customer, states one offer with a real price, says until when it lasts and gives one button. Anything that promotes a product is a marketing message, so submit it under the marketing category.
A Bangla template for an appliance shop (template language: Bengali):
An English template for a kitchenware shop:
Eid Mubarak in advance, {{1}}!
Our Qurbani kit is back: cleaver, boti, chopping board and sharpener for ৳{{2}}.
Cash on delivery across Bangladesh. Orders for Outside Dhaka close on {{3}}.
[Button: Send me the kit details]
[Button: Stop offers]
When the customer taps the first button, the chat opens and you can reply freely. A Banglish reply that keeps it moving:
Ji apu, Qurbani kit e ache: 1 ta chapati, 1 ta boti, 1 ta board ar 1 ta sharpener. Dam 1,850 taka, Dhakar baire delivery 120 taka. Kon address e pathabo?
The prices above are examples. Use your own, and make sure the price in the template matches your stock on the day it sends.
Template tips for the Eid rush
- Submit early. Meta reviews templates before use, and the week before Eid is when everyone submits. Aim for mid-May.
- Add an opt-out button. A "Stop offers" button costs you a few contacts and saves you many blocks.
- Keep one call to action. One button that starts a chat beats three links.
- No fake urgency. "Only 2 left" is fine when true. When it is not, customers notice.
Who should receive the Eid campaign?
Send only to customers who opted in to WhatsApp messages from you, and split them into segments so each one gets the offer that fits. Sending every offer to every contact is the fastest way to get blocked.
Useful segments for Eid-ul-Adha:
- Past appliance buyers: accessories, freezer bags, service offers, not another freezer.
- Past kitchenware buyers: the Qurbani kit and spice combos.
- Outside Dhaka customers: an earlier send with an earlier cut-off.
- Repeat buyers: first access to limited stock.
- Customers who asked about a product but did not buy: a single reminder with the Eid price.
New accounts on the WhatsApp Business API start with a low daily limit on how many customers they can message first. If your list is larger than your limit, start a few days earlier and send by segment, so the whole list is reached before the cut-off. Verifying your business and sending steadily before the season helps the limit grow.
When should each message go out?
Work backwards from your courier's last pickup date for each area, not from Eid day. Most couriers announce Eid holidays and final pickup dates a few weeks ahead; take your dates from your courier's notice. The calendar below assumes Eid on 7 June 2025 and is an example.
| Date (2025) | Send | Audience |
|---|---|---|
| By 15 May | Submit all templates, clean the opt-in list | — |
| 18 to 21 May | Freezers and appliances | Past appliance and home buyers |
| 23 to 27 May | Qurbani kit, knives, boti | Kitchenware buyers, repeat buyers |
| 27 to 29 May | Last call for Outside Dhaka | Outside Dhaka segment |
| 30 May to 2 June | Spices, panjabi, gift boxes | Matching segments, Inside Dhaka |
| 3 to 4 June | Last call for Inside Dhaka (check your courier) | Inside Dhaka segment |
| 5 to 9 June | No new offers; answer chats, confirm orders | — |
| 11 to 20 June | Freezer bags, recipes, restocks | Buyers from this campaign |
Leave a day of slack around the moon announcement. If Eid moves by a day, your cut-offs move with it.
How do I turn replies into delivered orders?
A campaign is only as good as the inbox behind it. Plan who answers, how fast, and how orders get confirmed before dispatch.
- Put your offer prices and delivery cut-offs in your saved replies or bot instructions before the first send.
- Answer within minutes; customers who tap a button expect an immediate reply.
- Confirm each COD order with the exact total before handing it to the courier. The COD order confirmation guide has templates for that.
- Stop taking orders for an area once its cut-off passes, and say so clearly.
How can SaleMag help with an Eid campaign?
SaleMag sends WhatsApp broadcasts through the official WhatsApp Business API with Meta-approved templates. You write the template in Bengali or English, submit it to Meta and see when it is approved. Then you pick a saved segment, a tag or a CSV, and SaleMag skips anyone without WhatsApp opt-in. You can schedule each send for a date and time, and track delivered, read and failed per recipient.
Replies land in the shared inbox, where your team or the AI chatbot answers from your product list and can take a cash-on-delivery order. SaleMag does not book couriers, so dispatch and cut-off dates stay with your team.
What will this campaign cost?
There are two costs: Meta's charge for each marketing template and your tool's plan. Eid-ul-Adha 2025 falls before 1 July 2025, when Meta moves from conversation-based to per-message pricing, so this campaign is billed under the current model. After that date, Meta charges for each delivered marketing message. Rates depend on the recipient's country; check Meta's WhatsApp pricing page and multiply by your segment sizes before you send.

Frequently asked questions
When is Eid-ul-Adha 2025 in Bangladesh?
Eid-ul-Adha 2025 is expected around Saturday, 7 June 2025 in Bangladesh. The final date depends on the moon sighting committee’s announcement, so keep a day of slack in your campaign plan.
When should I start my Eid-ul-Adha WhatsApp campaign?
Start about three weeks before Eid. Submit templates by mid-May, launch freezers and appliances first, and run smaller items in the last ten days before your courier’s cut-off.
Can I send Eid offers to all my WhatsApp contacts?
No. Send marketing templates only to customers who agreed to receive messages from you on WhatsApp. Messaging people who did not opt in leads to blocks and reports, which can hurt your number’s quality rating and limits.
Is an Eid greeting a marketing message on WhatsApp?
Usually yes. A greeting that is not about a specific order or account falls under Meta’s marketing category, so it needs an approved marketing template and opt-in like any offer.
How much does an Eid WhatsApp broadcast cost?
Meta charges for marketing templates based on the recipient’s country, and is moving from conversation-based to per-message pricing on 1 July 2025. Check Meta’s current rate card and multiply by the number of recipients before you send.
Can customers order directly from the WhatsApp broadcast?
Yes. When a customer replies to your broadcast, a normal chat opens and your team or an AI chatbot can answer and take a cash-on-delivery order inside the 24-hour window.
